I'm Eryn Koncir, a CPA, CA, small business owner, mom, and proud Ward 3 resident. My family and I have called this community home for the past 10 years, and it's where we're raising our family.
Professionally, I've spent 15+ years working in accounting, finance and financial reporting. That experience has taught me to ask questions, dig into the numbers, and make decisions based on evidence — skills I believe would bring an important perspective to Woolwich Council.
A unique window into what public service actually looks like
My grandmother, June Rowlands, served as Mayor of Toronto and spent many years in municipal public service. Growing up, I had a unique window into what public service actually looks like — not just elections and Council meetings, but the responsibility that comes with representing people, being accessible, and staying connected to your community.
Those experiences helped shape how I think about leadership, but my decision to run for Council came from my own experiences here in Woolwich.
Community involvement has never been about politics for me
Over the past several years, I've become involved in issues affecting our community, including appearing before Woolwich Council in both 2021 and 2024. In those situations, I worked alongside other residents to understand the issues, do the research, and bring our concerns directly to Council.
That experience showed me how much people care about their communities — and how important it is that residents feel heard throughout the decision-making process. I've also spent four years serving as Treasurer on my children's school parent council, and have volunteered in a number of other financial and community roles.
For me, community involvement has never been about politics. It's about showing up, contributing where I can, and helping make the place we live a little better.

Ward 3 is changing quickly. Growth is bringing new families and new opportunities, but it is also putting pressure on our roads, infrastructure, recreation, services and household budgets.
I decided to run because I believe Ward 3 deserves a strong voice at the Council table — one that asks tough questions about how taxpayer dollars are spent, supports responsible growth, and makes sure residents can clearly see how decisions are being made.
